Precision CNC Machining for Custom Cooling and Interface Parts

We machine custom copper and aluminum parts from your CAD and drawings, including cooling channels, ports, interface blocks and mounting features. Our team reviews manufacturability, makes prototypes and inspects the agreed features before repeat production.

What to Send for a CNC Machining Quote

Send a 3D model for the part geometry and a 2D drawing for material, tolerances, threads, ports, surface finish and inspection requirements. Clear functional priorities help us quote the right manufacturing process.

  • 3D CAD in a usable format
  • 2D drawing and revision
  • Material grade and condition
  • Quantity and prototype intent
  • Datums, GD&T and critical tolerances
  • Surface and roughness requirements
  • Threads, ports and sealing features
  • Post-processing, inspection and packaging

Have the 3D and 2D files ready?
Add material, quantity, critical features and required inspection.

How We Review Your Part Before Machining

Before machining starts, we review tool access, fixturing, datum structure, tolerances and inspection access so manufacturability and cost risks can be identified early.

  5. Critical tolerances and feature relationships
  6. Surface, burr and cleanliness requirements
  7. Inspection access and suitable measurement method

How Critical Features Are Machined and Inspected

Sealing faces, ports, threads, channels and mounting datums affect fit and performance in different ways. We match the machining plan and inspection method to each requirement on your drawing.

From First Prototype to Repeat Production

After the first part is approved, we keep the drawing revision, process route and inspection requirements aligned so repeat orders can be produced to the same agreed standard.

01

Review files

Check model, drawing and critical features.

02

Plan setup

Select stock, orientation, tools and inspection access.

03

Machine sample

Build the agreed prototype or first part.

04

Inspect features

Use the agreed methods and criteria.

05

Approve version

Confirm the drawing revision, process, inspection and packaging.

06

Repeat build

Review affected features after any change.

Joining, cleaning, assembly, leak testing and records are included only when they are part of the agreed quotation. For a sample route, review Prototyping.

CNC Machining FAQs

Which files are required for a CNC machining quotation?

A 3D model and 2D drawing are preferred, together with material, quantity, datums and critical tolerances, surface or roughness requirements, threads and ports, post-processing, inspection and packaging requirements.

Can ThermalBro machine copper parts for liquid cooling applications?

Yes. We machine custom copper parts for liquid cooling applications. Send the alloy, geometry, tolerances and any joining or inspection requirements so we can confirm the process.

What tolerances can ThermalBro hold?

Tolerances are confirmed for each feature based on material, size, geometry, datums, fixturing and inspection access. Mark critical dimensions on the drawing for review before quotation.

How do you select the machining process for my part?

We review geometry, tool access, fixturing, tolerances and inspection requirements to choose the applicable equipment and machining process before quotation.

Can sealing surfaces, ports and internal channels be inspected?

The inspection method is matched to the drawing feature and its accessibility. Dimensional, visual or functional checks can be discussed, but not every internal feature can be measured by the same method.

Can machining, joining and leak testing be included in one project?

Yes, a combined scope can be reviewed. Send the drawing, joining or sealing requirements and test conditions so machining, assembly and inspection can be quoted together where applicable.
